Employee to  Entrepreneur

I have been an employee for 16 years. Who knew buying a house would change my life. No no, I am not talking about being a slave to EMI. Buying a house made me quit my comfortable job.

We went to the market to buy furniture and realised it was all the same. We didn't quite enjoy the experience. So I started designing furniture for us. One thing led to another and before I could make sense of this new passion brewing within me, I was actually getting my hands dirty making the furniture myself. Yes, I started the journey with a workshop in Mumbai. Did a lot of theoretical studying online and then I took the big and serious step. I invested in my passion with a workshop in the US. I became what you can call - a woodworker. It is a new term but it is the perfect descriptor for who I am and what I do. I am not an architect. Not an interior designer. I design furniture and accessories, and make them out of wood - a woodworker.
